How ED occur?
Since an erection requires a precise sequence of events, ED can occur when any of the events is disrupted. The sequence includes nerve impulses in the brain, spinal column, and area around the penis, and response in muscles, fibrous tissues, veins, and arteries in and near the corpora cavernosa
Sequences of events are required for an erection, like arteries neat the corpora cavernosa, veins, spinal column, nerve impulses, area around penis and response in muscles etc… If any of those sequences are disrupted then it causes erectile dysfunction.
The most common causes of erectyl dysfunction are damage to arteries, nerves, fibrous tissues and nerves. And diseases like vascular disease, multiple sclerosis, chronic alcoholism, diabetes, neurological disease, atherosclerosis, kidney disease are the causes in seventy percent cases of erectyl dysfunction. About thirty five to forty five percent of men with diabetes experiences Erectyl dysfunction
Smoking, avoiding exercise and being overweight are also the problem of Erectyl dysfunction. Any vascular problems and heart disease also increases the risk of ED
Generally nerves and arteries near the penis are injured during surgery and especially in bladder surgery for cancer and radical prostate cause’s damage to the arteries and nerves. Injury to pelvis, bladder, spinal cord, penis, and prostate leads erectile dysfunction by harming smooth muscles, arteries, fibrous tissues and nerves.
ED is also caused by side effects of some very common medicines like of blood pressure, tranquilizers, cimetidine, antidepressants, antihistamines, appetite suppressants etc.
Many physician believes that the one cause of Erectile dysfunction is psychological factor like depression, low self esteem, fear of failure, stress are some psychological factor. And in the same case If man is with physical cause of erectile dysfunction then he also causes some factors of psychological reaction. Other causes are like smoking cig which affects the flow of blood in heart veins and arteries, hormonal abnormalities and less testosterone.
